How to: Change the field that sorts the mailing labels.
Solution:
In the Database window 'Reports' tab, click 'Design'. Select the 'View' menu and select 'Sorting and Grouping'. Make the desired changes.
1) If the Database window is not active, activate the Database window.
2) Click the 'Reports' tab in the database window.

3) Select the desired report. (The selected report is highlighted.)
4) Click 'Design'.
5) Select the 'View' menu and select 'Sorting And Grouping'. (The Sorting and Grouping dialog box appears.)
6) Click in the desired field to change in the 'Field Expression' column. (A down arrow appears.)
7) Click the down arrow. (A drop-down list appears.)
8) Select the desired field expression.
9) Click on the corresponding row in the 'Sort Order' column. (A down arrow appears.)
10) Click the down arrow. (A drop-down list appears.)
11) Do one of the following to select a sorting order:
a) Select 'Ascending' from the drop-down list to sort in alphabetical or numerical order from the beginning.
b) Select 'Descending' from the drop-down list to sort in alphabetical or numerical order from the end.
12) Click in the 'Group Header' box. (A down arrow appears.)
13) Click the down arrow. ( A drop-down list appears.)
14) Do one of the following to determine whether to display a header for the group:
a) Select 'Yes' from the 'Group Header' drop-down list to display a header for the group.
b) Select 'No' from the 'Group Header' drop-down list to not display a header for the group.
15) Click in the 'Group Footer' box. (A down arrow appears.)
16) Click the down arrow. (A drop-down list appears.)
17) Do one of the following to determine whether to display a footer for the group:
a) Select 'Yes' from the 'Group Footer' drop-down list to display a footer for the group.
b) Select 'No' from the 'Group Footer' drop-down list to not display a footer for the group.
18) Click on the 'Group On' box. (A down arrow appears.)
19) Click the down arrow. (A drop-down arrow appears.)
20) Do one of the following to select the value that starts a new group:
a) Select 'Each Value' from the 'Group On' drop-down list.
b) Select 'Prefix Characters' from the 'Group On' drop-down list.
21) Type the number of characters to group on in the 'Group Interval' box.
22) Click on the 'Keep Together' box. (A down arrow appears.)
23) Click the down arrow. (A drop-down list appears.)
24) Do one of the following to determine whether to keep together on one page:
a) Select 'Yes' from the 'Keep Together' drop-down list to keep together on one page.
b) Select 'No' from the 'Keep together' drop-down list to not keep together on one page.
25) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Save' to save the changes.
